Suspect Arrested for Involvement in Possible Gang Shooting
A young man was apprehended in Los Angeles, California last week on a warrant issued by the state of Nevada. According to the warrant, the 19-year-old was involved in a drive-by shooting last week. Authorities say that the young man and an accomplice shot another man in Mesquite. Police already had his accomplice, a 21-year-old, behind bars when the warrant was served. Thanks to inter-agency cooperation, the second suspect was apprehended and is awaiting extradition to the state of Nevada. Officers say that no one was injured when the shootings occurred.
The suspects in question are believed to be part of a gang that sent them out to commit a murder. Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, the two men are facing multiple charges including discharging a firearm into a vehicle, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and enhanced conspiracy to commit murder. One of the young men is believed to be part of a drug smuggling group as well say police.
