Grandson Stabs Grandmother with Broom Handle
Recently, officers were called to the home of an elderly woman that was living with her grandson. Someone had called 911 to report a possible incidence of domestic violence inside of the house. When the 42-year-old grandson refused to emerge from the house, a local SWAT team was called in. After a short standoff between the suspect and the authorities, police were finally able to detain him and enter the residence.
According to news sources, once inside of the home police saw an 89-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times with a broken broom handle. By the time they reached her, she was seriously injured and suffered from massive blood loss. While the suspect was arrested the woman was taken to a nearby hospital. She later died from her injuries and the grandson was officially charged with her murder.
