Serial Arsonist Case May Be Solved
Police in Chatsworth caught a break in a serial arsonist case, nabbing a man that had recently been placed on their most wanted list.
The 38-year-old man was wanted for starting a fire back in July at a state beach. Since he was a transient, he had escaped police capture for several months, forcing the department to place him on the special list.
Strangely enough, the man had been interviewed the year before by a news crew, whom he told that he was an actor in Los Angeles. During the interview, he added that he had nearly been assaulted by a convicted child molester that was roaming around the city.
After placing him under arrest, a judge ordered the man to be held in lieu of $100,000 bail at the county jail. He will be transported to another jail later next week and will appear again in court for his arraignment.
