Lindsay Lohan Expected to Turn Down Plea Deal
Those close to the case believe that Lindsay Lohan will turn down any plea deal that involves jail time for her theft offense.
The actress' lawyer, Shawn Holley, is currently working on a deal for her necklace theft case that would most likely include a stint behind bars. When Lohan went before Judge Keith Schwartz earlier this year he said the actress would face jail time if she pleaded guilty or no contest to the felony charge. She now has until March 10 to plead guilty or bring the case to trial.
One piece of evidence associated with this case is a videotape showing Lohan talking to the owner of Kamofie & Company, a jewelry store in Venice Beach, before walking out wearing the necklace. Before that Lohan can be seen taking off her own necklace, trying on the item in question, and conferring with her friend and the store owner. She didn't remove it for the entire 45 minutes that she is in the store before walking out with it on. It is rumored that Lindsay put her own necklace back on over the other necklace before walking away.
