Woman Accused of Murdering Husband in Century City
A trial in Century City is garnering serious media attention for the murder of a woman by her own husband.
The jurors deliberated on the trial of James Fayed, 48, who was judged to be guilty of murdering his wife, Pamela Fayed, 44. He was convicted of first-degree murder, as well as conspiracy, since the murder was accomplished for financial gain. Pamela's body was discovered on July 28, 2008, slashed and stabbed 13 times.
Investigators were able to determine that Fayed paid an employee $25,000 to kill his wife. He was worried that Pamela would reveal secrets to attorneys regarding his Ventura County gold-trading business. Shortly after the two met with their attorneys to discuss the federal investigation, Fayed is believed to have hatched the murder plan.
Three more men who are believed to have helped plan and/or kill Pamela are still awaiting trial. All three have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
