Federal Worker Facing Sexual Assault Charges
A man that spends his days protecting others injured and assaulted a woman on his day off.
The suspect, a 52-year-old federal airport screener, was arrested last week based on evidence provided by the victim. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, had been walking with her friend at night when the man approached. At that time, he was wearing his uniform and he displayed his badge to get her attention. He managed to get her alone before sexually assaulting her. After the attack, he fled the scene on foot.
Police were able to identify their suspect and arrest him at home. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault, intent to defile forcible sodomy and object sexual penetration.
