Lindsay Lohan Refuses Plea Deal

Whether it is another attempt to get publicity or not, Lindsay Lohan has taken the riskier road of a full-blown trial for her accusedtheft crimes.

The actress has been accused of stealing a gold necklace worth $2,500 from a Los Angeles store last year. While Lohan has not been accused of a crime like this before, she has spent the past three years in and out of rehab, which could significantly affect the outcome of her trial.

Lohan was offered a deal by the prosecution team in the hopes of avoiding a trial, which she quickly turned down. If she had pleaded accordingly she would have only served between three to six months in jail. Now her plea of not guilty will remain on court records and her legal team will have to prepare for a trial.
