Woman Pleads No Contest to Burglary of Actor’s Home

Alexis Neiers, 18, an aspiring model and reality TV star pleaded no contest to charges of burglarizing actor Orlando Bloom's home. The burglary was one in a series of burglaries of celebrity homes by a group known as the "Burglar Bunch," a gang of teens who stake out celebrity homes and steal cash and jewelry. Neiers' appearance at the courthouse will supposedly be part of a show called "Pretty Wild."
Neiers admitted to being present at Orlando Bloom's home during the break-in. Neiers' plea of no contest kept her from potentially facing up to six years in state prison. Instead, she was sentenced to six months in county jail and three years probation. Attorneys for Neiers claim she was a minor player in the "Burglar Bunch," and that her theft crime sentence reflects that.
Orlando Bloom had been expected to testify. Two watches, valued at over $200,000 each, were stolen from the actor's home, and though Neiers claims she does not have them, she may still be responsible for the watch's values.
Neiers is ordered to turn herself in to county jail by June 24.
