Dynasty Star Arrested for Assault

Recently, it was reported that actor James Farentino was arrested for assault.  According to reports, the "Dynasty" actor assaulted a man in his Hollywood home.  Now, the 72 year old is facing charges for misdemeanor battery in Los Angeles.

KTLA reports that Farentino was booked at the Los Angeles Police Department's station in Hollywood.  However, after he was able to pay his $20,000 bail, he was released from police custody.

Police say that they were called to the actor's home after a man, who remains unidentified, invoked his right to make a citizen's arrest of Farentino.  The man had visible bruises on his body and told police that the actor assaulted him as Farentino tried to get the man to leave his residence.  The victim then arrested the actor by making a citizen's arrest.
