Mothers Reunited with Kidnapped Sons
Two mothers were reunited with their sons this week in the Netherlands after the boys were kidnapped over two years ago. The kidnappers? The boys own fathers, who are also brothers, John Silah and George Silah.
The FBI was finally able to track down the two men in the Netherlands where the boys were found safe and sound. After the Silah brothers were taken into custody, John's one son and George's two sons were brought to a shelter where they were reunited with their mothers.
Agents have been searching for the boys since July 2008 when the brothers failed to return their children at the end of their summer visitation period. While the boys' mothers originally believed the men to have returned to their native Syria, FBI agents were able to track the men in Athens, Greece, and finally, the Netherlands.
The two men are being held and are likely to be extradited to the United States where they will be charged with federal child abduction.
