Drug Charges Dropped Against Ryan O'Neal

In Los Angeles, the felony methamphetamine charges that were pressed against actor Ryan O'Neal have been dropped by a judge.

In 2008, the 69 year old actor was arrested inside of his Malibu residence.  At the time of O'Neal's arrest, deputies had been conducting a compliance check for his 25 year old son, Redmond.  His son had been on probation for another drug-related case.

Since the arrest, O'Neal has completed an 18 month drug diversion program. 

Reports indicate that Redmond O'Neal is currently undergoing court-ordered drug rehabilitation in a sober living facility.  He is expected to appear in court this month for a progress report hearing.

Redmond is the son of actress Farah Fawcett.
