Domestic Violence Leads to Double Shooting
A domestic violence incident gone terribly wrong turned into a double shooting late Thursday night in Roy, Utah. Police were called out to 1920 W. and 4400 S. for a domestic violence call. They arrested a man, whose identity has not been given to the public, and later released him. It is then that the police believe he violated an order of protection that banned him from entering the same home and became involved in a shooting.
Although police are still unsure as to who shot and killed the man, they are fairly certain that the fatal wound was not self-inflicted. There was a woman in the home who was also shot, in the arm, who was able to escape the house and run to a neighbor's home. She is expected to survive her wounds.
As of late Thursday police were still waiting on a search warrant to enter the home to investigate the crime. It is believed that there were three witnesses who were inside the house at the time of the shooting who may have additional information about the crime.
